Hello, apologies for lack of posts but if you read the post below you will hopefully understand why. By way of an apology I thought I'd tell you about my tea last night which was one of the best tea's in recent memory. My housemate had bought pitta breads, halloumi and salad to do one of those pitta bread, halloumi and salad things. I had bought some chorizo and various veg (mushrooms, courgettes, peppers) to do some sort of chorizo and veg thing. We decided to combine the two and had a rather excellent time. In fact, I'm almost thinking about eating out tonight just so my taste buds aren't too disappointed.
P.S. On a completely different note, I'm also seriously considering drinking my own wee. I will probabaly do a post about this soon and will obviously let you know if I do actually drink it.
Okay. To cut a very long (and pretty exciting for me at least) story short, myself and my good pal Stephen Alan Yorke are working on a radio show for E4 Radio. We know very little about what they want from us, when it will be, how often it will be on, even if we will both get to present it. For now however we're getting stuck into our first assignment which is to put ourselves about the web like digital whores. I have chosen to go with the phrase "ben harris has hooves" and so far have my own eBay auction, youtube video, I'm mentioned in the official wikipedia Hoof entry (thanks Steve) plus working on some merchandise, a website and having my name spray painted on a wall in Ramallah. The usual really. From now on if you could just start using the phrase as often as possible, I'd really appreciate it. Whenever you are invited to comment on something online or write something meaningful in your goddaughters christening card why not simply put "ben harris has hooves"? Go on, you know you want to.
I was reading an interview with The Mighty Boosh the other day. I think it was in something like GQ magazine but I cant be sure. They started talking about the light hearted "just for laughs, we're good mates really" comedy spat between Mr Amstell and Mr Fielding (both of whom I admire by the by). The magazine reckoned that it was Fielding who won this battle whereas I, even though Fielding got the last word, reckon it was Amstell who won out. I realise in the grander scheme of things this really doesn't matter but there's enough people out there talking about the recession and Iraq and all that stuff. So anyway, what do you think, huh punk?
A couple of months ago the company I work for moved premises to Covent Garden and as the first Friday in our new home approached we began to discuss which boozer we should frequent. As most work places know, the local bar is not the nicest bar near work but the place geographically closest to ensure maximum refreshment and allow you and your colleagues to slag off the venue and moan about trying somewhere nice next week even though you know you never ever will. Anyway, it turns out the nearest bar to us is "World Famous Nude Dancing Club" Stringfellows. Because our office is full of a load of lefty, feminist winklepickers we haven't managed to swing by for a drink yet so I thought I'd do a bit of research on their website in case we ever do. Whilst there I stumbled across the blog of Mr Stringfellow and it proved to be an exceptional read. Exceptional.

Recently, when I have been walking along the streets that I call London, I have been feeling a strange urge to punch people in the face. Not the obvious targets though like street bums, charity muggers, traffic wardens etc but normal, nice people who are minding there own business. I'm fairly confident I wont act upon these urges but it has been troubling me as to why I would fantasise about it. Maybe I should channel this agression into something positive like community gardening or teaching cats to swim or maybe just a massive auto-erotic asphyxiation session.
I've often thought about posting this on a Friday afternoon as this is what it reminds me of but in my opinionation it would probably work better on a Monday morning.
